During the third quarter of 2022, the performance of the top five carpooling and ridesharing apps on iOS in Bahrain showed varied trends in weekly downloads. Here’s a detailed look at how these apps fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride observed a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads. Starting the quarter with 513 downloads, it saw a peak of approximately 697 downloads in mid-July. The downloads then experienced a gradual decline, ending the quarter with about 491 downloads in the final week of September.

Careem – rides, food & more displayed a similar trend. The app started with 223 downloads at the beginning of the quarter, peaking at 286 downloads in the first week of August. However, downloads decreased towards the end of the quarter, closing with around 218 downloads by the last week of September.

Bolt: Request a Ride showed a modest increase in downloads at the start, beginning with 138 downloads and reaching a high of 200 downloads in early August. The numbers then declined slightly, stabilizing at around 127 downloads by the end of September.

inDrive. Save on city rides had a mixed performance with weekly downloads. The app began with 100 downloads at the end of June, increasing to 139 downloads in mid-July. However, it experienced a significant drop towards the end of the quarter, ending with about 47 downloads.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained relatively stable download numbers throughout the quarter. Starting with 66 downloads, it saw minor fluctuations, peaking at 71 downloads in mid-July, and closing the quarter with 51 downloads.
